What’s new in Audacity 3.2?
Real-time effects support, non-destructive editing and cloud storage via audio.com are the most important changes to Audacity 3.2.
In the pursuit of more precise audio editing, users will now be able to tweak the effects according to the waveform in real time. This will make it easier to add and remove effects, change the time, and rearrange the order at any stage of the post.
The long-awaited release of non-destructive editing offers more flexibility for editing professionals, with the ability to trim and tweak clips without overwriting the audio file.
With the launch of audio.com, Audacity users will also have the option to export audio files directly to the site. Stored in the cloud, users can then keep their audio files private, share them with friends or share them with the whole world.
Elsewhere, Audacity 3.2 also provides support for VST3 plugins and an improved user interface designed to make audio recording simpler and smarter.
